Acceptance of Terms

By using RecATab, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

Description of Service

RecATab is a free, client-side screen and audio recording tool with microphone mixing, webcam overlay, and optional video sharing features. Recording and processing occur locally in your browser. Shared recordings are stored on our servers for up to 7 days. We provide the software as-is and make no guarantees about availability or functionality.

User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for any content you record and share using RecATab. Ensure you have appropriate permission before recording any content, including screen shares, audio, webcam video, and video from other participants or sources.

Sharing and Content

When you share a recording, it is uploaded to our servers and accessible via a unique link for up to 7 days. You may optionally protect shared recordings with a password. You can delete shared recordings at any time.

You agree not to share content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Infringes on any intellectual property or privacy rights
• Contains malware, viruses, or any harmful code
• Is sexually explicit or exploitative
• Promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred

We reserve the right to remove any shared content that violates these terms without notice. Users can report content they believe violates these terms using the report feature on any shared recording page.

Comments

Users may leave comments on shared recordings. Comments are associated with a display name chosen by the commenter. The same content restrictions that apply to shared recordings also apply to comments. Comments are deleted when the associated recording expires or is removed.

Recording Limits

Screen recordings are limited to 30 minutes and audio-only recordings to 2 hours. Shared recordings are automatically deleted after 7 days. These limits may change at any time.

Disclaimer of Warranties

RecATab is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recordings will be free of defects.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall RecATab or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data or recordings.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of RecATab after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
